Major Car Accident And Declined Claim

I had purchased a new vehicle and was insured with Santam. We decided to move to discovery since they had better benefits. We met with a serious accident and I was rushed to Hospital as I was critical. Our broker did not mention about the debit going through on the 1st. Nevertheless it went through and later that evening bounced. Since, my husband had to withdraw cash to purchase medication for our baby who was also in the vehicle. When it bounced my husband advised the broker and he advised that we keep funds and he will request that they re-debit. There was no debit done. According to Discovery they have on record debit on 29th but i had enough funds on the 29th BUT debit went out on the 2nd of October. Anyways i was discharged and called discovery and they said they will be sending assessors and on Friday they would give me and answer. It took discovery 3 entire weeks to come back saying our claim was rejected.

Discovery showed no sincere compassion even more so didn't entertain my pain and suffering. You would think a huge corporate company would have helped me in time of need and came up with a reasonable solution.

I have my medical aid with them which is paid on a regular basis.

I have lost the use of my right hand but is forced to work to pay for the car and to repair the vehicle.

Discovery has really ruined my life.
