Lost item no record at Discovery

On the 25th of March I logged a claim for possible storm damage for 2 items, I received 2 claim numbers and advised the service providers will contact me. The next day I receive a call from one service provider that they will send someone to collect the microwave. The other service provider calls and say someone is coming to inspect the deepfreeze. The deepfreeze assessor does his inspection and we mention the storm damaged the deepfreeze and the microwave and he decides to also do an assessment on the microwave and then leaves. That afternoon a courier guy arrives stating he is there to collect the microwave for assessment so we give it to him. No paperwork provided and we did not ask seeing as he specifically asked for the damaged product.(we won't make that mistake again). So days pass and I received confirmation that the deepfreeze claim is approved and I can go to new world for replacement or opt for a cash payout(which I did). The money got paid a few days later and int the meantime I am informed the microwave is normal wear and tear and rejected. So I ask it to be returned to me. I then receive a letter stating that my claim is rejected for both items under the claim number for the deepfreeze, and this after that claim has been paid out. Now I am following up week after week on the microwave being told a mail has been sent to the service provider and later that the service provider was at my place to deliver but there was no one and we did not pick up the phone(a lie by the way) and then in week 5 I am told they have no record of a compqny that collected the item and according to them it was inspected on site. Which it was by the person that was only appointed to inspect the deepfreeze but since they now have his report on the unit they do not care about the other provider that collected it and is now pulling up their shoulders claiming zero responsibility. So it seems some random courier guy pitched up and collected a broken microwave. With this type of service it might be time to get comparison quites for my home content and vehicles with Discovery.

Thank you
It is unfortunate that 1 complaint resolves an issue, dragging on for weeks, in just 15min.
