Lost almost everything, Discovery not willing to assist with claim.

I advertised a few items , and was contacted by a potential buyer . He sent me a POP , copy of his ID , Copy of his Prison card in Malmesbury . I got an SMS as well to say Payment was made , the evening no funds were showing , The next morning I tried to contact this person , Phones were off and could not get hold of them and Money was still not showing . I got all my proof documents and information together and when to the Police station to open a case , I received a case number and called Discovery to claim for the lost of my items , my broker assisted me and told me she does not think I am going to come right but lets see , I explained the whole story to her , she said lets see what we can do , I got a message to say that the claim was logged and someone will be handeling the claim , a day or 2 later I got a call from my broker telling me that Discovery is going to decline the claim , they are not going to sort this out , they are busy drafting a letter and it is with management and will be sent to me in due time . No one contacted me , I just received the letter, with the following details : We refer to the above claim and confirm that we have repudiated your claim. Up until now, now one has contact me, not even the broker or Discovery.

I know I don't pay millions in insurance, but I am still a client in need and in stress, with no furniture, I pay my monthly premiums every month and have a few policies with Discovery, I am not very happy with this and this and the way that this was handles does not say a lot about Discovery.

This is not a reflection of putting the Customer first or being there, or at least trusting in an insurer for the bad times or when they are needed.
