Insurance premium *******!

When I bought my first car I took insurance with discovery. I was told because I had no previous insurance history, after 6 months I’ll get a discount. I phoned after 6 months and I was told I should rather wait for my insurance anniversary. Now I got an email from discovery saying for my anniversary the insurance is going up. I waited a whole year to have insurance history and my premium reviewed for it to go up.
