Insurance gave a Takealot voucher after black Friday for the price of a black Friday sale

1. I insured my Samsung Galaxy Active 2 watch. They go for R5000+ 2. I lost it and made a claim which they approved. 3. It was black Friday so they took an average from Takealot and gave me a voucher of R3000 (for a Samsung Watch 4 as per their email). 4. I got the voucher today AFTER many emails stating that I didn't want to buy from Takealot and that I wanted a Fitbit which I could not get on Takealot. 5. I also emailed them about the number being unrealistic but no one responded.

Black Friday is over and now all the prices are back to normal which means the R3000 won't cover the cost of a replacement.

It is also good to note that the Samsung Galaxy watch 4 is old. There's a saying "old for new" which means I'm supposed to get a newer version which is currently version 6.
