Insufficient: Removing Buliding Insurance without instuction from Policy and still paying for it

<p><font size="3" color="#000000" face="Calibri">Our Water bill for our house in Pretoria North was extremely high, so we as the owners decided to get a Leak Detection Company out to assist in finding where we are losing so much water.&nbsp; Our house is currently be rented out so we met with 1Stop Leak Detection on site on Thursday morning, 28 April. They assessed the pipes and found a pipe leaking from the geyser, the plumber told us that we are losing about 90 liters of water per hour, they then compiled a report,&nbsp;we also received the Quote to fix the piping and the geyser. I submitted a claim with the Invoice, Report with Photographs and the Quote to Discovery Insure.&nbsp;</font><font face="Calibri"><font size="3"><font color="#000000"><strong>The claim confirmation number is: ***</strong></font></font><font size="3" color="#000000">. After a while my husband got a e-mail with the confirmation and a plumber phone him. The plumber asked him the address, the address the plumber had was at the house we are currently&nbsp;renting in Centurion and not the house we owe in Pretoria North that is rented out. We have Home content insurance at the house we are currently renting, but we have building insurance for our house in Pretoria North. He said that we should fix it before they can go out to fix the piping and the geyser.</font></font></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><font size="3" color="#000000" face="Calibri">&nbsp;</font></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><font size="3" color="#000000" face="Calibri">So I phoned Discovery Insure, and the Consultant said that she could not find the house we owe on our Policy. We did however initiate a claim in December for hail damage which was fixed in March of this year. She could view it but our Home contents and building insurance was removed from the policy although we are still paying for it every month.&nbsp;</font></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p>I had to phone again as the phone went dead, after telling the story again and the consultant also mentioned that we are still paying for building insurance as the numbers does not add up but she cannot view the building address. The only thing which could be viewed on the Summary cover&nbsp;was the Motor Vehicle description with a specific&nbsp;premium per month and Portable Possessions with a premium of R0 but the Total monthly premium&nbsp;with a specific total per month. Although one cannot view the Household contents insurance for the house we are renting in Centurion or the Building Insurance for our house in Pretoria North. We never amended our Policy and the Premuim dit not change.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: #1***7d;">On Thursday Discovery Insure did sent somebody out to check the pipes and the geyser and on Saturday somebody phoned my husband and told him that they are not going to cover the cost as the address is wrong.&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #1***7d;">Please assist nobody gave instruction to remove the building address from our policy nor did we change the address.&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #1***7d;">We clamed in December last year for Hail damage which was repaired this year in March at&nbsp;our house&nbsp;in Pretoria, we phoned various times explaining the problem</span><span style="color: #1***7d;">. </span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-ZA; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><font color="#000000"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-ZA; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><font color="#000000"><span style="color: #1***7d;">I think the confusion lays with the two different addresses, we rent in Centurion and we have a House we owe in Pretoria North. Home Contents is insured for the House in Centurion and Building for the House in Pretoria North. One Consultant mentioned that they went onto a new system and this might be the cause of this. She could however view the previous claim and the address in Pretoria.</span></font></span></font></span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-ZA; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><font color="#000000"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-ZA; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><font color="#000000"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-ZA; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><font color="#000000"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-ZA; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><font color="#000000"><span style="color: #1***7d;">Our water bill is extremely high and with Discovey Insure taking their time to solve a problem on their side we are losing approximately 90 liter of water per hour!!</span></font></span></font></span></font></span></font></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
