Incompetence

I added a motorcycle to to insurance portfolio only to find that it was dropped off when I by chance made further changes to my policy- no apologies tendered. .

What angered me was a discussion I had yesterday with a call centre agent who advised me that a NEW motorcycle that I purchased and insured needed to be inspected at a Glasfit centre (a month after I arranged the insurance).

I enquired why I was not informed about this at the time I arranged the insurance only to be informed that I needed to read the policy document sent to me?? This is a material aspect and I feel it should have been discussed with me up front.

I then advised her that my daughter, the driver, of the vehicle was a student and attended university and that she could only do this in 2 weeks time only to be informed that the insurance on this vehicle will lapse- well I lost it with her (I dont usually loose my cool).

I again enquired why a New vehicle needed to be inspected and was informed that Discovery needed proof of the article that it ensures.

I left it at that only to receive an e-mail advising that there was no need for the inspection.

At this point in time I am arranging alternative insurance
