Immediate removal from receiving calls

Dear Discovery Team,

I am writing to formally demand that you immediately stop contacting me regarding car insurance or any other products.

The number *** has been persistently calling me despite the fact that I have never expressed interest in taking up any policy with Discovery. I have already blocked this number, yet the calls continue, resulting in repeated missed calls and ongoing disturbance.

This constant barrage of unsolicited calls has become intrusive, frustrating, and disruptive to my daily routine. It is causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and I consider this continued contact to be harassment.

Please ensure that my number is permanently removed from all your marketing and call lists with immediate effect. I also request written confirmation that my details have been deleted and that no further contact will be made.

Kindly treat this matter with the urgency it deserves.

Regards, Trevor Keswa

Good day Trevor

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

At times intermediaries using our name may try to sell products to you.

We kindly suggest that you restrict the number for added peace of mind. To avoid receiving unsolicited telemarketing calls, you can register with the Direct Marketing Association of SA (DMASA). Below are the details for DMASA: www.dmasa.org ******

On our end we will send your number to our leads department to restrict.
This process may take a while.

Apologies for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

Regards
Discovery Insure

Thank you for your response to my previous complaint.

However, I would like to formally clarify an important distinction that appears to have been overlooked. There is a significant difference between someone calling on behalf of Discovery and someone explicitly stating that they are calling from Discovery. The caller associated with the number in question clearly introduced themselves as calling from Discovery, which reasonably implies that the call originated directly from your organization and not from an independent third-party service provider.

This distinction is important because it affects accountability and transparency. If a third party is involved, that should be clearly communicated at the start of the call. However, in this case, no such disclosure was made. As a customer, I rely on the information provided during the call, and when someone states they are calling from Discovery, I naturally understand that to mean they are directly representing Discovery itself.

In addition, I have continued to receive contact from the same number. I even received another missed call from that exact number after lodging my complaint, which is concerning. This further reinforces the need for a proper investigation and clear clarification regarding the source of these calls.

For this reason, I respectfully request that the facts be carefully verified before a response is issued to a complaint. Accuracy, due diligence, and clear communication are essential when addressing customer concerns, especially in matters involving repeated unsolicited calls. A thorough investigation into the number and its direct association with Discovery would be appreciated, along with a transparent explanation of the findings.

My intention is simply to ensure clarity and to prevent any further unnecessary contact. I trust that Discovery values professionalism and customer experience, and I look forward to receiving a detailed and fact-based response.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Kind regards,
Trevor Keswa
