Immeasurable incompetence

The process from the very beginning "10th January 2022", has been a nightmare and still is. Starting with the long lead time for the assessment, 11 days.

On that assessment the assessor completely missed that the bumper was damage. I even stated it on the report that the tow truck had. It was back a fro to get it approved. 31 January approved to fix the bumper. Another 10 day delay.

I also requested that the fuel must be reimburse, seeing it was a loss on my side. No response to this.

I was informed Friday 25th February 2022 that my Rav 4 was ready for collection. I attempted to collect it Wednesday 2 March. But to my utmost disgust the state of my Rav 4 I left it there. The reason listed below.

The “Check list” of Eljoney that I was very reluctant to sign. Clearly they just ticked the boxes. The following was either not working or not done.

Item 12. "Check Battery" battery was completely dead. They had to jump start the Rav. Please take note the battery was in perfect working order before the accident. I went around the corner to fill up the car, the Fuel indicator only showed just over half after filming up. Therefore not working/calibrated. Went back to Eljoney and the Manger just shrugged his shoulders when I reported it, and said, it needs to go to Toyota to get calibrated. The main work Eljoney did was repair the fuel tank and line, "test all sensors” Item 14. Clearly not done While I was refuelling I realised the only window that was working is the drivers door. All the others did not work. Item 8. Also not done, just ticked!

The boot couldn't open or close. They again said it need to go to Toyota to get reset. The car inside was not cleaned. The driver rubber matt was full of dirt/mud. Item 20

I eventually received my car 28th March after following up countless times with discovery and Eljoney. I thought everything was fixed!

11 April on my way to work I ran out of fuel. My fuel gauge indicated 1/4. Clearly not calibrated correctly. Again Discovery had to tow it in. Back to Uber, no compensation from either side.

Its the 26th of April and I still don't have my car. No one has taken accountability for their incredible bad service and the massive incompetency I received.

Discovery did not give me the option with whom I would like to go with in fixing my car. I would recommend that Discovery do a full investigation on the quality and effectiveness of Eljoney. They a so called approved partner of yours.

I will never use Eljoney again and looking to move from Discovery!
