I'm still awaiting feedback, confirmation

I think a matter reaches for "lack of a better word" its "extreme" when it eventually comes to this but i really have no idea what process to follow from here. Ive really been happy so far with my insurer till it came to claiming and how a minor detail can cause such a pain to actually get clarity on. Anyway, im a proud mini cooper driver and its as mini as they come, my bonnet was replaced and fixed but the vinyl stripes(which came with the car and is in the assessment photos) wont be covered by the insurer because they see it as an "aftermarket" addition and wont contact BMW/Mini directly to confirm said fact as i have in order to corroborate and, as i understand it it came standard from the factory which BMW Mini HO advised. Mini advised that they are still waiting on a call/communication directly to them(not a dealership but the HO) as confirmation that it came standard from THE FACTORY. i got the vehicle that way and didn't pay for any optional extras at ALL. I really just want the stripes back or actual confirmation. im really tired of calling in and trying to be the link between my insurer and BMW/Mini
