I was recently contacted by UCovered on behalf of Discovery Insure and decided to ask for a quotation for a car I was thinking about purchasing. I made it very clear that I was still looking and I would confirm once I decided to buy the vehicle. The policy was NOT to start until I notified them. To my surprise I was debited with an activation fee of R195 on 11 February 2025. I notified them on 10 February that I had not purchased the vehicle and did not want to proceed with the quotation/cover. Today I was told that I only cancelled on 10 February and therefor a non-refundable activation fee was charged. Surely this is ******** as I did not authorise them to debit my account. Today I reversed the debit order and now they've just debited me again for R188.35. This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I will NOT be insuring anything through Discovery Insure. Feeling very disappointed in their service
