I died in an accident

Yesterday, my car was in for a service, and the trigger went off for Discovery Insure to call me to check everything was ok. I was in a meeting, and my phone was on silent, so I didn't answer.

The message was "Hi, we received an alert on your car, please call us if there are any problems".

I never heard anything else.

What if I had been hijacked / died in an accident ?!

What service is it to call to ask if everything is ok, and then when I don't answer (possibly because I am being hijacked or ******ed)

Terrible service.

Disgusted once again in Discovery. Will be looking for alternate options.

Thank you for your patience while we were asking our DQ Track team to investigate the concerns raised.
It is has been confirmed that an alert was received and a call was made followed by an SMS where we were unable to reach you.
As common practice, the case was escalated to the Life team where a replay of the vehicle movement was made to see what could have triggered the alarm.
It was then found that the vehicle was parked in a parking lot from 10:22 and further investigation was done, where it was found that the car was at a dealership. The conclusion was that the vehicle was in for a service. From internal investigations as to what happened did not warrant a follow-up call as it was not believed that the car was ******. Which you have confirmed in your comment that it was not but was in for a service.
Please check the DQ Mapper and replay your trips on the day and it will confirm that the vehicle was in the same spot even after the trigger.
Out experience is these matters has shown us that every time a vehicle is taken for a service, we are most likely to received alarms as the service team is working on the vehicle.
Trust the above response to your concerns.
