I am a subject of systemic ****** at Discovery insure for building claim.Administrator Nicole Scott,Service Provider Meason Construction

I am being taken from pillar to post due to the claim I lodged as a results of heavy rains that happened in January in Limpopo that resulted in bridges,roads being swept away and my roof leaking resulting in some part of the ceiling being wet and damaged,was advised by their building claim administrator Nicole Scott to get a contractor to come and assess the place and send them detailed report with photos and quotation since their service provider is more than 100km away from my place,and that was done by our registered house contractor,after some days of no feedback and acknowledgement of receiving the email,I received a call from Meason construction saying they are coming to assess my house as they have other places around my area to go with same problems related to floods,they came and assessed and report was send to Discovery. They called me saying the damage is due to compromised waterproofing not taking in to consideration that we had floods and Limpopo building and roads where destroyed and our house is just 1year old everything was destroyed by the heavy nonstop rain we never had any problems before with our roof. Meason construction made a quotation for the ceiling including labour only without prices for materials,delivery of material and removal and disposing of construction site,did not include walls on his quotation,his quotation was way too less to cover for even quarter of the work that need to be done and not detailed,Our first assessor was not even payed by the insurance(was payed by us)surely because he’s Black and his quotation not considered while it is detailed and shows everything that is needed for the ceiling and damaged walls(Because he’s not white),i feel like my contractor and myself are unfairly discriminated because of our colour,I was not even given enough attention and updates with regard to my claim whenever I call for clarity they will say Nicole is busy she will call back but never even bothers to call(this is how much we are hated). No1 even bothered to look at and question the quotation from Meason which is surely not making sense because he’s white and everything he conclude is not questioned even when it’s not detailed and understandable. I am so dissapointed as a loyal customer of Discovery,I used to hear people talking about systemic ****** that is happening at discovery and thought they are lying. Now I am about to become a victim of that and it’s so painful and frustrating.
