Hugely dissappointing and INEPT customer service!!!
A Discovery insured driver drove into the back on my car on the 16th of Feb 2024. The driver diligently reported the accident with SAPS immediately after the accident, claiming full responsibility, and logged the claim with Discovery the very next day. From that point on this has been my WORST life experience without fail. From Discovery insure not meeting their timelines promised, to highly unprofessional customer service from their advisors/agents, this surely cannot be the way you treat people after an accident. Let me just add I was stationary when their client drove into me.
I had to get my own quotes which came a cost, I had to phone in to get feedback on numerous occasions, which came at a cost, I have to struggle with a boot that does not close which comes with added frustration, I've had Eli Manuel their advisor completely ignored me on every single email I have sent, which I have proof of. It is now the 26 March 2024 going for 2 months, and still have no response from Eli or the business. To think I am a Discovery life member looking to add Insure and bank to my portfolio. Definitely not an option after this or won't think of recommending unless I am proven otherwise.
What a disgrace.
It is now Monday 08 April and my queries have still not been resolved. We are now a few days away from this claim dragging along for two months. The two quotations that were sent to your assessor based on your request by approved businesses were not approved in full.
I do not understand how one can undercut a quotation for repairs, this does not make logical sense to repair damages at a reduced cost to make good what was damaged. There is a level of ********* business conduct in this process. Your own client has tried to contact you to advise you he takes full responsibility. The business you referenced and appointed to complete the repairs have been trying to contact you to question your costing. How is this even possible.
Please just sort out the repairs caused by your client. This is ridiculous!!!

@discoveryinsure, I am struggling to understand why your employees cannot do so much as reply to an email and keep a client informed.
