Horrific Service

I’m here again to once again complain about Discovery Car Insurance!!!! So 14 April, a lady crashed into my stationary car while parked outside my grans place. They had to tow the car because of the damages. I had to call Discovery two weeks later to find out what’s happening because they were quiet since the incident. Only to find out that they cancelled the assessment that was meant to be done because my number plate was written down wrong on the day of the accident. No one bothered to call me and find out what was happening. Two weeks later the assessment was finally done and claim approved. This is now one month later. 16 May, the insurance took my car to their panelbeaters, Elegant Square Panelbeaters. Got a call from them to say they waiting for a car part which would take 5-7 working days, which ended up taking 4 weeks!!!! They finally started working on the car which also took over a month. This is now 3 months. Friday I was told the car is ready. Went to pick it up and noticed that the scratches and dents at the back of the car weren’t fixed. These were when the car hit mine in front, my car shifted back into the car parked behind my car so I had a big dent and scratches. I’ve only just found out that Discovery don’t have my accident report since no one bothered to call and ask for my report number from the police station so they didn’t know about the dents at the back of the car. Picked the car up and less than 10 KM later, the car broke down and wouldn’t start again. Had a funny noise when driving and wheel alignment wasn’t done cause you had to keep the steering wheel in place for the car to drive straight. Hooter also wasn’t working. Car was towed back to the panelbeaters on Monday and will now have to wait again for all these repairs to be done!!! And no one is still willing to help me with a courtesy car. Over a month and I’ve had no car since I had to take back the courtesy car I got initially. To say I am sick of Discovery and their panelbeaters, Elegant Square Panelbeaters, would be an understatement of the century!!!! It’s been the most disgusting service I’ve ever received. I regret changing to Discovery in the first place. That zero excess is a huge ****. Their service is horrific!!!!!
