Holding up a claim

<p>On Discovery insure website, they mention that if you post/upload pictures it will speed up the claim process. However, today i was told by the management that they can not work with pictures, therefore they require me to go to the police station and request the form. I told them that i had an AR number and Occurence book number and written on a piece of paper and stamped by the police as reference. They said they cant rely on a hand written AR number.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now they want me to investigate myself and prove to them that i actually reported the accident and prove that i do not own a police stamp. I am now part of their investigating team. They disregarded the reference given to me by the police. This is the standard procedure with all the police department but discovery do not trust or rely on it. Now my claim will be delayed because i am not willing to investigate myself.</p> <p> </p> <p>On my side, i feel i did the right thing by reporting the accident, providing the pictures, information and AR number. Over and above that, is for them and their team. Why cant they trust the police? What if i was out of town/ country or lying in hospital bed? My claim would wait for me? I am so frustrated!!</p>
