High Premiums! Terrible Claims Service

I reported a burst pipe claim on the 7/12/19 to which we received "automatic approval" as I submitted the claim online. On the 9/12/19 I followed up that no one had contacted us as yet. The one person I spoke to said the service provider appointed is not available so Plumb Crew was appointed only to find out that 24Fix who was initially appointed (and was apparently unavailable) still called my husband and made an appointment and subsequently Plumb Crew also called for an appointment, I then called Discovery to clarify who is actually appointed. I spoke to Sephati at Discovery who then said she'd cancel 24Fix and Plumb Crew and had appointed One Call. 24Fix then still rocked up on the 10th even though they were cancelled but my mom was just expecting a plumber, she didn't know the name so she let them in & they only put a clamp on the pipe saying they don't have the pipe we need and One Call then subsequently arrived and did an assessment. I then spoke to Sephati again who said 24Fix will just be paid for emergency services and One Call should continue with the repair. One Call called me and said they are submitting their report to Discovery first and following approval they will come back and do the repair, I'm confused because I thought we already had automatic approval because of the online submission. Now the claims handler (Richard Ndhlovu) is emailing me about the plumber having given me quotes to review and I told him that I haven't received such then he subsequently emailed me and said an assessor has been appointed and will contact me shortly to arrange an assessment. An assessor FOR WHAT!!? The loss has been assessed by the plumber. Quotes to me FOR WHAT!!?? Will I be paying the claim if I need to review quotes? This is very disappointing for such a big insurance company with such high premiums accompanied with TERRIBLE service. I spoke to Tatum van Staden on the 19/02/2020 and advised her that I’ve been told by One Call that they will only fix resultant damage as the pipes were damaged due to wear and tear, I told her we pay a specific premium towards wear and tear damage for pipes of which she subsequently advised One Call and told them to come out, assess and submit a report. The assessment was done on the 21/02/2020, to date still no response. We still have an unfixed pipe and damaged ceiling FOUR MONTHS LATER! Yet we’ve even had another premium increase that we weren’t even notified of, just saw an increased debit order!
