Failure to satisfy customers as to what is owed to them

I have been with discovery for many years and over the last year discovery has really made it hard to claim from including payout. In a previous claim with New born discovery made it so difficult for me when I had anew born to payout an emergency claim that I had to wait over 6 months. I eventually got it back but with a fight and numerous escalations. I now submitted a claim for my home and they have sent me a long list of discolousires as to why they won’t pay out. This is 2 pages long and they said if I wish to dispute it in need to send them a reason as to why. And this is a critical system that has failed. I think Discovery has honestly lost the view to satisfy customers needs and only focuses on finding ways to grow profit.

I’d like the executive for claims to please contact me before I take this further. Will this be another 6 month battle until I get it approved?

So as I thought this is what discovery responded with. As expected they make customers work hard in getting what’s owed to them:

Thank you for sharing your concerns and for your long-standing relationship with Discovery. We understand how frustrating this situation must be.

Please be assured that we have thoroughly reviewed the merits of your claim, including the technician’s report. The findings indicate that the alarm system failure was caused by damage from rodents, which affected the wiring and resulted in an electrical short and voltage instability.

Based on these findings, the claim has been deemed invalid due to the policy exclusion for loss or damage caused by insects or household pests.

We appreciate that you may not agree with this outcome. If you wish to dispute the decision formally, you may do so in writing within 90 days to:
