Failiure to provide agreed insurance

Following a very pleasant sales process I decided to move my vehicles and home cover to Discovery Insure. Well, what a stuff up. I run through the telephonic quotation process and receive cover for a new vehicle I purchase, all good so far. The salesman then states that the cover for my remaining items and second vehicle will begin on the first of March and that I am to cancel my existing insurance as of 29 Feb. This was done. I then call Discovery Insure this morning to confirm cover of the remaining items and second vehicle. The operator claims only cover for the one vehicle and no other record of the other items, not even a quote. My fiance is now driving around in an uninsured car. I asked the operator how is it possible that we go through a couple days and numerous calls to discuss pricing and inclusions in the policy and finally i offer approval, yet now...not only does the insurance not kick-in...Discovery dont even have record of this. I use Discovery in its entirety, life, health, vitality...but now having no insurance and complete loss of all quotes and conversation leading to this. Pathetic. I have learnt my lesson and will be returning to my broker, Discovery to risky.
