Excess on items deleted from online vault.
I uploaded all my proof of ownership items to my online vault on 20 Nov 2021. A few days ago my Fitbit Versa 2 broke while shaking out washing to hang on the line. They want to charge me an excess of R1000 as all my proof of ownership has disappeared from my online vault. Discovery waives excess when proof of ownership is in the online vault - how convenient for them that it is suddenly empty....

18 Jan 2023, 10:05Still, you deducted an excess of R1000 from my claim because it shows on your side, but not the online vault. How does that make sense? I have been trying for more than 10 minutes to update the document vault on my side - once I upload and verify an item, it disappears again and shows an irritating red dot (you have not uploaded and do not qualify for an excess waiver)???
