DQ Track wiring voided warranty

I have just had my car in for repairs after it was failing to start. It turned out that fuel pump controller and fuel pump were both damaged and needed to be replaced and it cost me R13700. In investigating and diagnosing the problem, VW found an some non standard wiring tapped into the same wire that goes to the fuel pump. It turned out this invalid wiring was for the Discovery DQ Track unit for its power connection. VW informed me wiring like this into the fuel pump is completely against standard and has voided my warranty of my vehicle. they informed me that there is a good chance that the tracking unit is what caused the damage. The fuel pump controller was outputing incorrect voltage which could have been a result of tracking unit drawing too much current or passing current while the car is off resulting in damage to the parts. Discovery also contacted me while the car was in for repairs indicating they were getting strange signals of high velocity so it would appear the unit was faulty as well. So now I have 2 problems: 1) My DQ track is not connected. Discovery need to send someone with a new unit ASAP to install and be installed correct to standard and in such a way that does not void warranty 2) What will Discovery do to make this situation right. They have voided the warranty on my car and their unit has likely cost me R13700
