Don’t use Discovery insure. Ever.

An Uber driver drove into my wife’s car in July. Immediately we called Discovery Insure. We told them the cops were on the scene. They said the cops could draw the statements and scetches. They said they would call the cops and get the case number. They said they would also do the follow up of retrieving our excess. The claim was approved and the car was fixed. When i followed up weeks later for my excess via my broker they couldn’t be bother to help me retrieve it. They are saying it’s my responsibility to chase it. The Uber driver claims we were at fault. Discovery have informed my broker that they wont help me claim the excess. Am I supposed to get a lawyer out of my own pocket to chase the other the driver? Discovery promised they would help me get my access and now they have just washed their hands if it. I think it’s time to cancel all my policies with Discovery.
