Do not deliver on the promise

I took up a vehicle insurance cover with Discovery Insure in 2015, i had an unforeseen incident this morning only to find that what I thought I was covered for should be paid from pocket. The consultant advised that with the plan that i took, I will have car hire at no extra cost however did not explain that because I am insuring an automatic vehicle there is a premium to get an automatic car hire. I was also informed that there will be no excess payable if the accident is not my fault however this morning I learnt that I have to pay the excess as well even though I did not cause the accident. Furthermore, the car hire is rented from AVIS which requires additional fees as well. All these were not disclosed at cover inception. I am now faced with additional costs which I did not budget for or which I thought I am covered for. The claim experience was not pleasurable to say the least.
