Dissatisfied customer with repairer and assessment of damages
An insured vehicle of mine was in an accident and a claim was duly lodged with the insurer. The damage was assessed and repair approved, to be undertaken by Proline. After going to collect the car I observed that the damage was not fully repaired as the window was not closing properly and the indicator not working. After several more efforts the repairer identified that the window mechanism needed replacing (this had been disclosed to the assessor). I have been informed that this mechanism was not approved to be replaced (the request was made after the initial repairs were made after I pointed out that the window did not work). I am very unhappy with the quality of service as the damage was fully disclosed at the time the damage was assessed and Proline repeatedly attempted to fudge the non-working winder issue by trying to spray Q20 and other absurd remedies.
I would appreciate this matter being properly attended to and the vehicle being repaired without further excuses.
