DISSAPOINTING & ********* INSURANCE COMPANY.
DO NOT SEEK DISCOVERY!!! Keep in mind that insurance companies exploit the vulnerable because insurance is a need, and not everyone is knowledgeable about it. Discovery is Lucky to even get a Star! Signed my Dad for insurance in 2024, once signed, no correspondence received, seemed more like an insurance **** for sales. 1 months a debit did not go off and then went of the following month, this repeated twice and Discovery debits dates was 4 days off after deduction dates. No correspondence was established at all to rectify the reason for payments skipped or to notify change of dates. Debits started going of on a different date without any correspondence or approval. Last month the insurance was terminated without notification. Last Response time for assistance took a month and not with responses to questions asked (early stage of the policy ). Discovery still caps premiums which is a ****, this is to sign new clients and ignore them till the premium gets camcelled while they bank previous payments. REALLY DISSAPOINTING.
We would like to look into your concerns. Can you please provide us with the policy number in question so that we can reach out to you?

Firstly debits are deducted before the weekend or on that Friday if the pay day falls on a weekend or public holiday, not carried over, this is only Discoverys way. The problem was established and mentioned, don't point out the obvious! Discovery as an insurer was obligated to maintain and retain there clients. In this case no was done. That is unacceptable!
If payments are bounced what is the next step that Discovery takes???
Is it just the grace period or do the client's get notified???
These are not rhetorical, answer are required, an apology won't just work.
You are acknowledging that no contact was made during this and so easily the insurance has lapsed without even a Telephonic call or even an email! Unless Discovery only has a sales department.
