Discovery Vitality Drive Weekly rewards are pointless

As I understand it, Discovery’s motivation for offering weekly point rewards (as is the rationale behind any incentive scheme) is that they are offering a financial reward to clients to behave in certain way (do more of something good and less of something bad). The system used to be able to tell per trip whether it was incident free or if there were incidents, how many there were, what they were and the GPS co-ordinates of the alleged transgressions. Now, all that we have is the app which indicates per trip, either “Event free” or “Reset”. What wonderful pearls of wisdom would you like me to gain from feedback as detailed as “Reset”? Somewhere during my 25km morning commute to work, your system detected an alleged transgression, which could be speeding, harsh acceleration, harsh braking or harsh cornering anywhere during the 25km trip. What behaviour would you like me to change? Because I have no idea? I am not aware of any specific transgression but you are unable to give me any more detailed information so I will change exactly nothing! Then linked to this Discovery has sold the great new Iphone benefit which requires that in order to be fully funded I would need to achieve at least 3 out of 4 weekly drive goals (assuming I achieve 4 out of 4 for exercise and banking goals). Yet achieving the drive goals is a complete lucky packet of chance! How is this a real incentive scheme? It appears to me to be more like a Discovery marketing ploy that you will never need to actually deliver on!
