DISCOVERY STAGGERING INCOMPETENCE

Discovery rejected my claim for damage to my garage door based on "surface rust" on the torsion spring. The sheer incompetence of the assessor—and the absolute inability of the claims handler to recognize that incompetence—is truly a marvel to behold. For context, a garage door torsion spring is manufactured from high-tension spring steel. The rust the assessor "discovered" is merely superficial surface rust, with absolutely zero material loss to the spring's diameter. Furthermore, the assessor brilliantly noted that the lifting cables on both sides of the door were loose. This, of course, is a direct physical consequence of the torsion spring snapping. Yet, based on these staggering insights, our genius assessor concluded that the damage is merely "normal wear and tear." Of course, I should also mention that I live close to the ocean and "surface rust" on everything is a fact of life. But why should that matter when you genius assessors and claims handlers dealing with your business. Nomusa Nyaweni, you specifically requested that I mention your name in my Hello Peter review of your performance, so here it is. I would like to congratulate you on taking four entire days just to reject my claim on the most frivolous grounds imaginable. Because of your pathetic performance, I will now be moving my entire insurance portfolio to an alternative provider. Additionally, I think you should know that I went ahead and repaired the door out of my own pocket long before you even managed to arrive at your poorly assessed decision. By taking my business elsewhere, I am stripping away the illusion of authority you think you hold over me, successfully reducing you back to the utter insignificance you occupied in my life prior to this claim.

Your response is just as pathetic as your handling of my claim. While the financial amount in question was minuscule, the principle of the matter is what truly counts. Your actions do nothing but turn loyal customers into victims.I refuse to entertain your antics any further by engaging on this topic. The institutional incompetence within Discovery is not my problem to solve; the obligation to provide a technically competent assessor and a capable claims handler rests solely with your company.I suggest you take a moment to actually review my portfolio. You stand to lose far more in a single month's premiums than you allegedly "saved" by rejecting this valid claim. Moving my entire portfolio to a competitor will be my final answer to your sheer incompetence. Keep a lookout for the youtube video, I believe it is in the public's interest to know what they are dealing with.
