Discovery Roadside Assistance Crashed my car
I had sold my vehicle, which was insured by discovery. The day before delivery to the buyer, the battery went flat. I called discovery insurance and they sent roadside assistance. The tow truck driver could not start the battery so he offered to take the vehicle to the dealer to check. The tow truck company confirmed the vehicle was delivered safely. When I arrived, I found my vehicle crashed into another car! The tow truck driver had left the vehicle on a hill with no park or handbrake engaged. There was significant damage to three panels on the vehicle.

I called insurance on 15 Aril and they arranged for the damage to be fixed. It took over a week just to get the car to the repairer. And more than a month before I got the car back. I have subsequently lost my buyer, and not been able to sell the vehicle. The value of my car has dropped by R20000- webuycars initially offered R180000 and now is only willing to give me R160000 - this is because they could see the paintwork done on the car.

I logged a complaint with discovery complaint email and got NO response. I really believe I should be compensated for all these losses. I will definitely look to move to a different insurer
