Discovery Negligence penalizes me the VitalityDrive Benefit

I have held car insurance with Discovery since Mar 2014 and have been receiving 50% VitalityDrive benefits for most of this period. Upon studying my bank statements closely however, I have noticed that I haven't been receiving any VitalityDrive Paybacks since September last year. Based on my mileage, this is roughly R5,000 worth of benefits that they have not paid.

I phoned the Discovey call centre to ask about this and I was told my VitalityDrive card has been de-linked and I need to re-link the card to my policy. Why on earth would my VitalityDrive card be randomly delinked? There is no expiry date on the card and when the card is swiped at a BP station, you still get a receipt. There is NOTHING that warns you that you are no longer getting the benefit.

It appalls me that negligence on Discovery's part (randomly delinking the card and not warning me that it needs to be relinked) gives them a Financial Benefit to the tune of R5,000. The person I spoke to said I could claim back the money if I submit the VitalityDrive receipts over the period. First this is a lof of admin purely caused by Discovery's unreliability. Secondly, who keeps all their petrol receipts for eight months???

Thank you for taking my call and allowing me the opportunity to investigate your concerns.
As discussed I will refer to my systems team to investigate all card transaction on your BP fuel card, going as far back as September and October 2016.
I will provide you with feedback once done.
