Discovery is witholding my vehicle tracking movement report after I submitted a claim which they approved after they sent the vehicle for the wrong assessment

Discovery initially approved my claim that was lodged on 22 October 2017, but I then advised tham that their instructions to the assessors were incorect as the claim was not for damages to my magwheels, but for damages the undercarriage of my car after I went through a rainwater filled ditch.

Is discovery allowed to withold such cruicial evidence from me, considering that it is their vehicle tracking device. Does it mean people and businesses should make use of independant tracking devices from other non Discovery tracking device companies? They never told me that they have such a right to withold such information in the event of an accident. The Manager at Discovery Nicol van Heerden then told me at a later stage that the onus would be on me to prove the validity of my claim without their tracking device report. To me this is to cover their negligence as the external damage to my car was accidental on my side, but their service providers started and drove my car on and off the tow trucks without oil in it which causes it to be damaged internally.

If I am wrong then why are they witholding the tracking device reports and why did they refuse to put the surveilance videos on disks so we can see how they got the car from the various parking bays to get it on to and off the tow trucks. Bare in mind that after their first initial wrong assesment the car had to be taken elsewhere again for another assessment at the Volvo dealers.

Realising that they only assessed my magwheels I asked them to sent the correct instructions and also advised them that as a result of their wrong instructions, the people handling the car would otherside started the car even though there was no oil left in the car by the time the tow truck came to tow it.

The Manager at the Claims department was the sixth person I spoke to and she initially promised to request the vehicle movement report from their tracking company. She has ever since ignored all my requests for the report. The report will prove that they started and drove the car on and off the various tow trucks to the various parking bays as the tow truck company, the Fleet Vehicle Solutions and also the Volvo dealer as they would not have known differently due to the wrong instruction from the insurance.

I have been receiving montly emails from Discovery that indicated good driving behavior from my side, and now that I am asking the detailed report, the Manager simply refuses to provide it. Why would their monthly emails show my good driving behaviour and why would they give me vitality and when a claim arise then they withold the report? It this ethical behaviour from their Side.

Kindly see the snippet below which proves that they approved the claim at first, based on the wrong instruction from them.

--

We have authorised your 2006, VOLVO, V50 2.4i claim for your loss on 22 October 2016.

Your claim details:

Claim number

:
**********
Claim administrator

:
Mpho Moumakwe
Contact number

:
011 529 3905
Email

:
We have authorised the items listed below:
