Discovery Insuring You Change To Another Insurer.

A year ago I changed insurers from my previous one that I had been with for 8 years. The premiums at Discovery seemed great and my medical aid was with them, so it seemed the logical choice. A year later and I have received my first premium increase. An increase of literally 25%. I have the same job. The same home. The same contents. The same car. NOTHING HAS CHANGED! I phoned Discovery and even though the consultant also seemed shocked, he maintained that there was nothing he could do. He couldn't even give me exact reasons for the high increase. He promised to send me a reference number via email, and escalate the query for me, in hope that I could get some clarity. That was on Thursday. Up until today I have received NO FURTHER CORRESPONDENCE, despite another 2 emails to them. It does seem that they are holding out until they have gotten at least one high premium from me. I will say it again. 25%!
