Discovery Insure, worst insurance ever
Again, I am back in the position that I have to complain about Discovery Insure. Firstly, the poorest service you can imagine. You register a damage to a vehicle claim, you get the claim number and then a claims consultant is appointed. I think these consultants are ghosts, cause you cannot get hold of them on a phone, and they do not respond to e-mails. My claim gets approved for a bumper replacement on a Toyota Hilux, just so the panel beater can tell us that it is a pirate part, does not fit our vehicle, is only 1mm thick and they have to bend brackets to make it fit. So I query this with Discovery, to be told that they are allowed to do it. I cannot understand why I pay a premium for a genuine Toyota, have it services at Toyota and replace the parts with genuine Toyota, but my insurance insists on placing pirate parts on a vehicle we tow with. I have requested Discovery to show me where in my policy schedule does it state that they are allowed to do this, but no surprise, I got no response. This is now a month later. Please people, stay away from Discovery, they only take premiums, they do not deliver any kind of acceptable service. Discovery only uses Net Assess as their assessors, they only work of pictures, glorified photographers, never even see your vehicle. I will definitely cancel everything I have with Discovery.

Depending on the circumstances of the case. The age and condition of the vehicle will influence the merits of the claim. Especially if the vehicle is outside of its warranty. Second hand parts may be considered provided that they don't compromise the safety and reliability of the vehicle and the workmanship.
Further feedback will be provided to you directly .
