Discovery Insure working with a disreputable partner (Precision Auto Spray)

was involved in a hit-and-run car accident on the 22nd of July 2022 and got towed to No 85 Décor Street, a storage yard utilised by Precision Auto Spray. I am insured with Discovery who authorised my claim on the 26th of July 2022. I had been informed that the turnaround time for repairing the car would take 10 days depending on the availability of parts. It is now way past 10 days and to this day, I am still without a car.

On the 3rd of August 2022 I followed up with Precision Auto Spray where I was assisted by JP who told me that they are waiting for 4 parts, JP promised to call me in a week which never happened. I followed up again on the 8th of August 2022 and was again assisted by JP who this time around informed me that they are waiting for 9 parts to arrive and made another promise to call me to give me an update which also never took place. This was now getting extremely frustrating as he had previously advised that they were only waiting for 4 parts on the 3rd of August 2022.

On the 24th of August, my father intervened and also called JP who told my father the following, and I quote, “Sir, we are still waiting for one part, I will call you and update you. We have lots of cars to repair and not only yours.” Today is the 31st of August and there has not been any update from JP since the 24th of August 2022.

I am still without a car, the 30 days of a courtesy car from the insurance are over. I feel disrespected and not valued as a client, I am not certain how Precision Auto Spray works can even be associated with a reputable company such as Discovery Insurance. I feel that Discovery should be very strict when selecting their partners as Precision Auto Spray works have not shown any form of good quality service from the time I started dealing with them till today. No feedback gets provided to the client and at times the client is **** to and I don't even want to mention the disrespect of being told you are not the only customer that is being serviced. This is after they have not met their turnaround times. This has affected me negatively financially and has inconvenienced me greatly as I have to use public transport which I do not even feel safe using.

Discovery Insurance promises that they place their highest value on their customers, how is that the case when they are partnering with companies such as Precision Auto Spray, how have my needs been satisfied in every way possible as per their promise? Claim number : ***
