Discovery Insure Vitality ****

Discovery Insure and the attached Vitality seems to be a **** of the highest order. As I am writing this I am waiting on the phone for anybody at Discovery Insure to speak to me it has been 15min and that after I spoke to the Vitality person who could not assist and "put" me through to the insurance side to explain. I know Discovery will claim Covid as the excuse for less people and BLA BLA BLA. The reason why I refer to the insurance and vitality as a **** is that the insurance app monitor your driving and based on some mysteries way they will determine your driving ability and grant you Vitality points. They also deduct point on your driving which means they then give you less vitality points and this is were the **** comes in. One of the ways they determine to give you less points is by what they refer to as Breaking, either, mild, sever etc. and points on your driving ability then gets deducted and they then give you less vitality points. The **** is that Discovery does not insure your brake pads or discs and therefore they should not have any interest in your breaking, but they use it to **** you out of the Vitality points. Yesterday driving on the N1, within the speed limit, as Discoveries own system indicates, the traffic came to a sudden stop . Reason a driver in front whos car just cutout and stopped. This caused everybody behind to have to do a sudden break. If not you will bump into the vehicle in front of you, thus avoiding an accident. This sudden stopped cost me 4 point deducted for sever breaking. If the breaks were not app**** there would have been an accident and no the correct following distance was kept that is why the accident was avoided when applying the breaks. So accident avoided, no insurance claim no cost to the insurer and yet I get penalized? See the **** or is it Discovery policy that we should not avoid an accident!! Another one of they determine points to deduct is "harsh cornering" . I drive a sluggish Land Cruiser and I have been penalized for turning from the K101 in Midrand onto Allendale road at the traffic light and this from an stand still, See the ****. I have to make a 90degree turn in my own property to get into my garage and I have been penalized for that or driving down my driveway and stopping at my gate, mild breaking points deducted, slow down for a pothole points deducted mild breaking, slow down for a road hump, points deducted, and please don't stop for a pothole on a unfami**** road, sever breaking. It seems Discovery wants you to damage your car and they want to pay for damage. I am considering the next time another vehicle goes through a red traffic light as I am pulling away not to stop and be in the accident and see if they give me extra points for not breaking!!!! See the ****. Discovery is al***** selling their Vitality points to draw unsuspecting people to be come customers so they get more money but use the **** of deducting points not to fill their side of the agreement.

So be ware before you fall into the Vitality points trap when looking for an insurer.
