Discovery Insure: very poor service
6 Days since we registered a claim for a burst geyser: still no installation. I have been on the phone for hours on numerous occasions using the discovery contact center, and although there are promises none materialize. I have complained to their *** but have had no response.
This is really very poor service.

27 Mar 2024, 22:08The plumbing team arrived at 2:30 and left after 9 pm. My new geyser is still not functional. In the process of installing the geyser, I noticed kiloliters of water pouring off my roof from overflowing gutters. I immediately notified the installation team of the problem, but they were none the wiser as to how this was possible, I had to explain at length that the only possible way for water to be coming off the roof was from the solar panels. This was indeed the case. Although the installers tried to rectify the problem, they were not successful.
In the interim, the installer's company is badgering me for their excess, but I am wondering who will be responsible for the costs of the loss of water???? let alone the destroyed solar panel....
In the future, I need to reconsider my options when insuring with Discovery. I have a highly trained plumber down the road, who would have resolved this problem within 24 hrs. It's now 7 days later and I still do not have hot water. Given that they had to break through the ceiling to install this geyser, I guess I would have to spend the next few days gazing at this hole in the ceiling of my bedroom.
Really, not working for me.
