Discovery Insure-Unjust Premium Hikes: Paying for Others’ Claims and Hypothetical Risks

I joined Discovery in April 2024, and we agreed upon a set premium. However, in October 2024, they informed me that premiums would be increasing in December for all Western Cape members, supposedly due to the high number of weather-related claims they’ve had to cover. So now I have to pay more, not because of my own claims, but because of others' and the possibility of future bad weather? This arbitrary, blanket increase feels entirely unjust. Furthermore, when my first full year of membership arrives, there will likely be yet another increase.
