Discovery Insure, the gift that keeps on giving.

This claim experience is just getting worse and worse from Discovery. I did a claim last year, it was a ********** experience. So I wrote it off as a fluke and just waited on my parts to arrive. Mind you Discovery Insure also never sent me the PDF to specify what they authorized for repair.

The 6th of January I get a call from Dals saying my bumper has arrived. I enquired as to why only the bumper and they informed me that the headlight would only be refurbished under direction from Discovery. The assessor told me on the day I took it in that the headlight had too much damage to repair.

So I try to get in contact with Natasha Ellappa-Gounden to get this remedied. I sent a polite email asking to authorize the headlight replacement, because the assessor from Dals stated it can't be repaired. She proceeds to forward me an email from a manager at Dals saying they can't take my car yet because they are still waiting for parts. Ignoring my request to authorize the headlight completely, not even giving me helpful instructions.

So I phone Dals again, they confirm the bumper is there but the headlight has not been authorized. So again I try to contact Natasha, with no response what so ever.

I then get in contact with a manager at Dals who proceeds to help me by telling me to bring the car in again, so that they can take more photos and send it again to the assessor for review. Dals was also the people that finally sent me the authorization PDF, so that I could see what Discovery was actually paying for.

Natasha finally read the email and comprehended she needs to put me in touch with the assessor, which proceeds to tell me that I need to send in more photo's to motivate it, which the manager at Dals already did.

After that Natasha proceeds to send me a template reply, every 3 days, that Dals can't take my car because my bumper has not arrived. The bumper was there since the the 6th, and the more I email Natasha to tell her that the bumper is already at Dals, and I am waiting for my headlight, the more she just ignores my emails.

Then to add insult to injury Discovery Insure send me an email this morning hiking my premiums by R147,52.

Making my already exorbitant fees even more, for little to no service at all, having the client have to do more work than the person actually working for them.

Discovery better do something to make this better, or they are losing a client.
