Discovery Insure Sucks - Lies and More Lies
<p>One of the key reasons that I oved to Discovery Insure is that I was told by the salesperson that if I meet with an accident and it's the fault of the other driver I will pay NO EXCESS. Their policy also states: "7.3.10 | Excess Waiver :We will waive your excess if your motor vehicle or motorcycle is involved in an accident with a third party who is insured subject to: DQ-Track fitted to your motor vehicle or motorcycle and Discovery Insure legal team confirming that the third party is at fault. "</p> <p> </p> <p>When a truck smashed into the rear of vehicle last month, I was told I had to pay an excess of R3250 and they will TRY to recover the excess from the other party which was a very long and drawn out process !!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>So they lie when they sell you a policy and they lie in the policy.......</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

Please also refer to page 04 - important definitions, where the plan guide explains that excess is the amount that you contribute for each claim.
Our legal team is busy working on recovering the excess from the third party as stated in the plan, and if successful will waive the excess and refund any amount collected.
