Discovery insure punishes clients for claiming by increasing premiums by exhorbatent amounts

I am shocked that Discovery insure, with whom we have been insured with for many years and whom we trust with our banking, insurances, medical aid and investments would increase our premiums for car and home insurance by 50%. I had one claim for my car, which costed the insurance 5000 rand of which my excess was 3500. So discovery insure only had to pay in 1500 rand. They increase my premium for my car insurnace by 50%. That’s over R430 more a month. They also increased between 30-50% on my building insurance, portable possessions and household contents insurance and portable possessions. So my premiums went up by over a thousand rand. I think it’s time to find a new insurer that doesn’t punish clients who make claims that are belying their control. Further to this claims that were made were minimal. Unacceptable Discovery insure. I am quite disappointed.
