Discovery Insure Poor Service

Discovery Insure is not as hassle-free when it comes to claims as they say they are. I submitted a claim on the 13th of March (2 weeks before lockdown) for some accidental damages and for my gearbox that was affected. My car was towed away on the same day and transported to Auction Nation in Bellville South for assessment. After the completion of the assessment, my car was then sent to Cardinal Coachworks to have a quote done on the repairs. CC then sent my car to Torque converters to have the damages on the gearbox assessed, and they reported that the selector forks were damaged because of the impact as well as the control module, and they recommended that the gearbox had to be replaced. Then lockdown came and nothing could be done further on my vehicle. When Cardinal Coachworks reopened, they were now advised by the assessors that my car now had to be sent to VW Claremont for another opinion. VW then came back with the same findings, however, according to them, this was not related to the accident. The assessors then immediately declined the gearbox repairs on the 03 June 2020. I was not happy with this because I was pretty sure that there was nothing wrong with my gearbox prior to the accident and after waiting this long how can they simply just decline the repairs. So I went back to Discovery and I asked them to relook at this on the same day. After weeks of back and forth emails, constant calls to follow up Discovery finally approved my gearbox damages on 16 July 2020 (more than a month later). Work was carried out on my vehicle and I got it back on 24 July 2020. After receiving my car back I noticed some issues with the start-stop system where it indicated that the power consumption was too high which did not allow the car to switch off automatically. I immediately contacted Paul at CC to notify him of this issue. He had a diagnostic done at Toque but they could not pick up anything. This morning (30 June 2020) when I called Paul he said that he spoke to his auto electrician and he said that it's the battery, and I agreed because my car did not want to start anymore and brought up a message that my battery is too low.

So not only have I received poor service from everyone involved in my claim, but because of Discovery's delays, my battery is now done and dusted as well.

Reviewer Update
This was reported to Discovery this morning, but the day is almost gone and my car is again standing and no one has come back to me on what's going to happen or what it is that I should do in the meantime.
