Discovery insure not worth anything
If ever a consultant phone's you and tries to convince you to take out Discovery insurance, do not make the mistake to listen to him/her. They mislead you. You will think you are insured like they promised you or like you requested until the time you try to put in an insurance claim. Only then you will find out that you are paying for comprehensive insurance but only have limited insurance. So in fact, they are charging you for a service that you do not receive, I think their promises are more false and **** that those politicians promises before election time. They are quick to put the debit order in place to take your money, but when it is time for them to pay your claim, they use any excuse not to pay.

18 Feb 2022, 13:09My policy number was ***, I specifically requested for a full comprehensive insurance on my car, building and house contents. Only after my gate motor was ****** and I contacted discovery, I was informed that I have the classic plan and my building was not included. If you play back the telephone call when the broker convinced me to move from Santam to Discovery, It is clear that I stated I want everything covered just like I had with Santam. That is what the broker quoted me on and I accepted and have been paying for. So clearly discovery cannot be trusted, their word means nothing. My advice would be then if you want to take the risk of doing business with Discovery, get everything in writing and still double check because you will lose somehow. Now only because I do not have the contract or specified anything in writing and mailed it to Discovery, I cannot claim.
