Discovery Insure not that great??
I submitted a claim for a smashed window due to a stone from my grass trimmer. I received the SMS fast that my claim was received. I then got a call from Peter Rankhathali stating that he received my claim, and I must send him pictures. I told him that the pictures was already submitted with the claim submission. He then said ok, he can see them and I must get a quote. I got the quote and send it on. He rep**** and said he received the quote and will advice before close of business the next day, without any reason why only the next day. I then queried it with him why so long, what if the rain come into the house creating more damage. Only then he said the claim must be vetted and he cannot get hold of the correct person. I forwarded him the Mail with a cell number since the quote itself only had a office number. He mailed back say there is no cell on the quote and I had to remind him the cell is on the mail signature, not in the quote. It just so happen that the person at the company that did the quote has the same surname as me. He then phoned me and asked me very suspicious if that person is related to me... We are not related at all, I do not know her and has never met her, but if we were related, what difference would that make - would my claim be rejected and my broken window not fixed because I have a relative that worked at a company that must repair my broken window - and Discovery Insure has proof of the broken window? The tone, grammar and sentence construction of his mails was very unprofessional. Even when he call me, the way he conducted himself on the phone was very unprofessional. I must say, very disappointing experience!!
