Discovery Insure nightmare

I was contacted on the 4/10/2023 by a Discovery Insure broker(Didi Museri, email:***) for a home and vehicle insurance and I initially accepted a quote. Then upon cancelling with my current insurance my current insurance gave me a much lower premium then Discovery Insure. Then on the 12/10/2023 I asked Discovery Insure if they can lower the premium, but I haven't received a reply yet, and am now worried that I will be debited by Discovery Insure(which is more expensive) and my current insurance.
