Discovery Insure / Net Assess - Lack of quality & Negligence

On the 6th of August I had an incident where I hit a pothole and my vehicle JP25YNGP went onto the pavement. This resulted in both my left tyres being punctured and that was all I could see with my bare eyes. My vehicle was taken to Renew It Sandton where tests and assessments were done claim ***. The first assessment done by Renew It was rejected on the 14th of August with no explanation as to why. I then went to renew it to find out what was the reason the claim got rejected and I contacted my broker Karabo Makgatho to notify her of what was happening. Eventually the claim got approved and upon fixing more additionals were picked up which were rejected as well and it was a back and forth between Net assess and Renew It to get this resolved. It eventually got resolved and they began working on my vehicle. After completion of repairs I fetched my vehicle and picked up that it was vibrating when driving over 100km/ph and there was a loud knocking noise on the right. I notified Discovery of this, and they advised me to take the vehicle back to Renew It and get Net Assess to ascertain what was the issue causing the vibration and noise. Net Assess didn’t thoroughly check or diagnose the vehicle instead the assessor just drove it a block away and advised it was the right bearing which isn’t incident related of which I asked him how if the whole left front was really damaged and required major repairs. They didn’t advise on what caused the vibration nor did they even address it. This month I then decided to take my vehicle to ford to get a diagnosis because I felt unsafe driving the vehicle. Ford diagnosed the vehicle and advised the vibration was caused by the steering control which needed to be replaces and the right bearing which was bent due to impact. This would’ve definitely been accident related and it is shocking that “quality assessment” is done before the customer gets their vehicle back but how is a customer given a vehicle that is dangerous to drive and nothing is being done about it? I ended up incurring costs because those repairs aren’t covered under warranty as they’re incident related and not wear and tear. I am appalled and disappointed at the service given to me especially that there was no consideration of my safety in this regard, just pure negligence that could’ve caused me an accident had I not been proactive about it. The people responsible need to be kept to account and stop putting peoples lifes at risk because they don’t want to do the thorough checks that they need to do before concluding that a vehicle is roadworthy or safe to drive. Above all else the assessors were not even bothered or worried about the safety of the vehicle and all they did was drive the vehicle a block? What did they actually assess in this regard?

This seems like an automatic computer generated response and I feel it is not assuring. It does not specifically relate to my complaint nor does it give me hope that this will be resolved and checked thoroughly
