Discovery Insure - Mega Company Thieving the consumer

After a claim though this insurance company, my vehicle had damage to its parking sensors (in the exact spot where the impact happened). It was unseen damage by the assessors and when I received my vehicle back for the first time I started complaining about the issue. The car went back and forth to the service provider “Proline Express Sandhurst” where they tried sorting the issue out as I was unhappy that there was a new problem with my vehicle after accident damage was fixed.

Discovery insure simply claims that the damage was wear and tear and refuses to remedy the situation where I have a fauly vehicle after it was “fixed”

Discovery Insure, you should be ashamed of yourself for choosing to sweep my problem under the rug by using out of context information and reports to deny my claim

This has been a case that has been going for a year now. Your findings point toward my vehicle magically suffering from wear and tear in the exact spot of the impact. Who has ever heard of a parking sensor suffering from wear and tear?!

My words have meant absolutely nothing because the service provider had some report that say it’s wear and tear. You, as the insurer simply believe this without consulting me and letting me have a say in this.

The point of my frustration is that my vehicle was in an accident and damage from the accident was never fixed and has been refused to be fixed because the service provider has a “report” which defaults you to a clause that prevent you from fixing what should have been fixed after my first complaint about it at the service provider.

Do you know why they ruled in your favor? Because of the report from the service provider stating that there is no damage to my parking sensors related to the accident!

That report is just nullifying my voice! You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Louis

We understand your frustration, and we regret that you feel the ombudsman’s ruling does not reflect your experience. The decision was based on the evidence presented, including the report from the service provider, which indicated no damage to your parking sensors related to the accident.

While we acknowledge your perspective and the disappointment this outcome has caused, our decision stands, as it aligns with the ombudsman’s ruling and the evidence reviewed. We take your concerns seriously, but we must also ensure that our decisions are fair, consistent, and based on the facts at hand.

We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns. This matter is now considered closed.

Regards

If I could have been present when any of the findings were found, I think my input would have put the clear reality of this case in perspective. Both you and the ombudsman are simply taking this report as the only piece of evidence that the sensors were not damaged as part of the accident. It has distorted your perspectives of the actual facts.

Here is the short of the long:

My vehicle had ZERO ISSUES. There was an accident where it was impacted from the back. Right on top of the sensors that have been proven to be faulty by a Mercedes Benz dealer diagnostic that I PERSONALLY PAID FOR, because the service provider’s equipment could not pick it up and my car keeps going mad with sirens and beeps when I switch it on eversince I received it back from the service provider. You want to tell me that my sensors magically became faulty because of wear and tear after an accident??

Shorter version:

My vehicle has no issues before accident
Accident happens
Service provider fixes my vehicle
Now my vehicle has issues (in the EXACT spot of impact)

It does not take much to understand it’s clearly the accident that caused these problems!!

None of my emails, context or own proof has been taken seriously because someone in an office sees a report that states different to what I know the facts to be and rules against me because reports for some reason can never be incorrect?!

I am willing to have a meeting about this where i bring my version so I am seen and heard and not overruled by a report. I am not simply complaining to just be right for no reason at all. My car was damaged in an accident and no one has shared any of the reasons they feel it’s wear and tear or made sure that I understood how they got to their findings with ACTUAL evidence being presented to me. I just keep getting denied a just and fair argument.

A simple phone call after my first complaint would have solved this matter a year ago. But everyone hides behind emails, reports and clauses. It’s pathetic

This experience has left a disgusting taste in my mouth about the Discovery name.
