Discovery Insure Just Cannot Get it Right!

After a request to ask Discovery to move my debit order date, I thought we were on track. After numerous phone calls to Discovery, just before Xmas I spoke to a lovely lady T.Mmabohlabe and another agent Dinel on the 19/12/2016.I was advised that my debit order would come off the next day being 20th December 2016. I ensured there were funds to avoid a rejection. Today I check my account and the order was taken off on the 28th December 2016. That is not what agreed as I had ensured there were funds in the account as per agreement before Xmas on the 20th December 2016. This incurrs a charge of R130. Who is going to carry this cost when I ensured as per my agreement with the agent that the debit order would come off on the 20th December 2016. I am feeling so frustrated with the lack of commitment to what was agreed to avoid my car not being covered! Please would management listen to the calls to confirm what was agreed to ! Really not acceptable that we agree to one thing and another thing is done resulting in stress to myself!

Thank you for your comment.

We have made attempts to reach you on the cell phone number we have our records which is the same as the one on your Hellopeter Profile, to no avail.

Nevertheless, we have checked your Plan and confirm that we raised a debit on the 23rd of December 2016. It may well be that the bank may have taken longer to process it from your account, which we do not have any control over. You are welcome to contact our call centre to make appropriate arrangement.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience experienced.

Thank you for your response, however, I am most dissatisfied with your response. It does not take my bank 5 days to respond to a debit order. As per the agent, the debit order was coming off the NEXT DAY.....not the 28th. Please refere to the telephonic discussion between the agent and myself. How can you rationalise the comment 'we have not control over this'. As an intelligent human being which I like to think I am, if someone advocates the next day, that is exactly how I understand it.The next day being 21st December NOT the 28th December 2016. I will be taking this to the ombudsman as your response is an insult to my intelligence. Please forward this to Adrian Gore!!!

I would like to add that today I received an email from Discovery Insure Tracker Manager stating I must make an appointment to have my tracker removed. I responded to the email asking what this was all about and the email bounced back stating this email is permanently down. What kind of service is this? We cannot engage in dialogue with an email whereby I am threatened to have my tracker removed. And you advocate you are customer centric. I am nothing but a number to you! Shocking!!!

It is very regrettable that we are unable to reach you and ask you call us on the call centre number ***and ask to speak to me (my name is noted below). Failure to contact us will demonstrate your level of seriousness in having this issue resolved.

We are unable and mostly unwilling to have a debate on these issues via Hellopeter.
