Discovery Insure is good, but.....

Discovery Insure integrates seamlessly with my other Discovery product and offer excellent interactions via electronic or telephonic means. I am unfortunately disappointed in the application of the Drive score/status which I work so hard on keeping close to perfect: - Only after I contacted the retentions department, was my nearly-perfect drive score and lack of claims taken into account for discount on my premiums. I noticed a 16% increase with the recent annual increase letter (compared to the 0.1% increase in the previous year), which warranted my call of concern as I was looking to change to a provider that will continuously consider my advantageous record in awarding discount whilst I am under their cover, compared to only looking at the record during the application process. - The rule is to use the lesser of the Driving score and your fuel spend each month to calculate your cash-back; My monthly score is around 2200, but my fuel spend only ±R1,600pm, thus my cash back is limited by the amount I drive (±750km per month). The months were I take trips and increase my fuel spend, I get penalised on my drive score for driving too much. - My monthly cash back (Limited by my fuel spend) is only ±R140pm. Subtract the R79pm you pay to have this benefit (Vitality Drive), and my true saving is only about R60pm.
