Discovery Insure Driving App

It is now close to 5 months since I started using the Discovery driving app which monitors your driving behavior. There a a number of things I still do not understand about this app, but what happened to me yesterday left me totally confused. Yesterday (Sat 25 Sep), I had an incident free day as far as my driving is concerned, which means my driving was perfect - yet this driving app scored me 15 out of 25 - a whopping 10 points deducted - for what, I don't know. Can somebody please explain how is this possible. One of the many other things I do not understand is if you sit at home the whole day and you do not use a car - this app deducts points for not driving. Why must one be penalized for staying away from the road and not get exposed to accidents. I thought this was a right thing to do and is encouraged by all insurance companies. The less you drive, the less likely it is for you to have an accident. Why must you be penalized for taking a precautionary approach in lessening the risk of accidents. Can somebody please explain this to me.
