Discovery insure drive sensor bs

From the get-go this sensor has been problematic. The vitality drive sensor does not record each and every trip even though all the settings on my phone are enabled. It tells me trip in progress while I am driving, but the results hardly show up on the dashboard. Then the system deducts points for my not having uploaded my driving data. I've had the system for some months now, but only about one trip per week registers. At some point my phone stopped telling me that I have a trip in progress. I enquired with Discovery and was told that I had uninstalled the app. I hadn't. Since it wasn't registering my driving anyway I decided to uninstall the app and re-install it. After that it started to register trips again, but still on average only about one trip per week. The latest twist is that it tells me trip in progress when I am far from my car sitting at my office desk.

When I drive well the system asks were you a driver or passenger on the trip. And when I braked suddenly to avoid a suddenly stationary car, I got points deducted. AI this ain't. Very disappointing experience thus far. Doubt that the rewards are worth all this PT.
