Discovery insure despute , money taken out of my account without my permission

Please can you help me get my money back from Discovery.

Last year was a very stressful year as I moved to my new place on my own.

At the end of 2022, I got a call from a Mr Zondi, the financial advisor from Discovery. He wanted me to take up insurance with them, household, car and building. After comparing my existing one with Auto and General, I decided to accept the policy from Discovery. When I called Mr Zondi, he said I must not cancel my Auto and General policy as this Seniors where not happy with the price he quoted me and he will get back to me. Which he never did.

Thinking that this was not happening I deleted all communication etc.

After moving and my mind was in the right place, In February this year I looked at a message from Discovery Insure deducting R1579.65. Upon investigation I found that they have been deducting form July 2023 till I stopped it in February 2024.

I called Mr Zondi, he said he left and was not with Discovery and he left all this with the new person. He said he was now living in Johannesburg. But will assist. Which he did in getting only one payment in from Discovery and Auto and General. He then said his is working with Discovery.

I tired to call, email nothing, I have been calling and emailing from the time I found out with no joy. A new financial guy tried to assist but that was a dead end as well.

It is my money that they took without my permission. It is a lot of money for me a single person navigating life.
